MAQUINA MONO, which means ‘monkey machine’, is a bilingual band that plays Latin rock with horns, with the tightness of a clock. We are based in New York City, the only place where such a concoction could be spawned. We are a five-piece band (drums, bass, guitar/vocal, sax, and trumpet) and our backgrounds are as diverse as our influences. Ranging from the Groove of the Chili Peppers to the Rocking of The Stones. From the Grind of Led Zeppelin, to the Flavor of Latin Music. We put it all together for a sound that is ours. We prefer our original music but can do covers just as well. We have appeared at several of New York City's festivals including shows at McCarren Park, in Williamsburg. We have also played the club scene extensively and are available for private parties.
